IF YOU BECOME A MAJOR PLAYER IN A SIM/GROUP STORY/EVENT, WE EXPECT A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF COMMUNICATION.

Whether or not it's believable, the storytellers are very patient and understanding when it comes to Real Life getting in the way. We will find a way to work with you, whether it's discussing these things when time allows for it or making other arrangements to work around your situation.

    HOWEVER.

We cannot and will not respond well to flakiness. We will alert involved players of any continuation of an ongoing story, but sometimes we will leave the schedule to the person with the least flexibility in terms of time. This means that if we tell you we'll work around your schedule, we need you to tell us what times are best for you so that we can do this.

If someone is making the effort to remain involved once they've become part of a story, we are incredibly patient. However, if it becomes clear to us that you are a significant part of it and aren't even trying, we can and will move on without you. In this case, if we have to NPC your character to keep it moving, we will. If we have to retcon them entirely, we will. NO ONE will force you into a story you don't want to do, so this is not an excuse, and flakiness will no longer be tolerated.

    • NO, we WILL NOT kill off your character.
    • NO, we WILL NOT replace them.

They will simply be NPCed off to do their own thing. Upon your return (if you ever do return in the event of flaking), it is up to you to decide what they've been doing since their disappearance/in their absence.

It's sad that we've even had to address this, but with the frequency that it's happened, this has become a necessary post.

DO NOT AGREE TO BE A MAJOR PART OF A STORY IF YOU ARE NOT SURE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO STICK TO IT.
