Please note that while it's likely possible for any sort of merfolk to end up in the Northern Free Lands (considering the vast amounts of water in the world), the farther the distance they would have to travel, the less likely they are to show up in the region. Also take into account differences in region/temperature. How miserable will they be here? Would they even want to be here?
