Town Center Park Welcomes Spring with Unexplained Lights Faerie10

FRITTLAND CITY — Citizens have been captivated by hundreds of colorful flickering lights that have flooded Town Center Park.

Scientists have described these lights as "otherworldly" and are unable to determine their nature. Believing them to be a new class of insect, entomologists have tried and failed many times to capture a subject for study and identification.

City officials have decided to take safety precautions and close the park to the public between sunset and sunrise until this situation is determined by experts to be safe. Citizens are urged to not continue to try to enter the park to see the lights firsthand.

The Frittland City Council issued this statement:

Until we understand the nature of this phenomenon, we ask that the public avoid Town City Park between the hours of 8:00 PM and 6:00 AM. Please understand this is for the safety of both our residents and our visitors. We will remove this restriction once the proper authorities have determined that these lights are not a health or safety threat.

The lights have been visible since March 20 of this year, and this restriction has been in place since March 21.
